The activity or system of conveying liquids or gases from one point to another for them to be used in other forms is called plumbing. Moving the fluids is a process which is facilitated or enhanced through the use of valves, pipes, tanks and plumbing fixtures. Plumbing is an activity that extends its application in the following areas; heating and cooling systems, waste elimination and the conveyance of portable fluids like water. The professional person who is concerned with the installation and maintenance of the plumbing systems is referred to as a plumber. After they assemble the pipes using fittings, they can detect leakages by filling the plumbing system with the fluid. If leakages occur, they repair it appropriately.
Plumbers also have the duty of installing fluid systems in buildings, and therefore they study the plans to inspect the structures to use for installation. Once they finalize on analyzing the building, they determine the order in which they will install the pipes. There are other important connections in these buildings that are installed, and therefore it is the plumber to take care when installing the piping system. After meeting all the demands, they skillfully install the systems to serve the entire building pretty well.
Plumber can accommodate a new piping system by use of various tools which help in cutting the openings from the structures of an existing system. From the major system, the plumbers can produce a separate system when they cut the structures with the help of hand or power tools or equipment. The roles of plumbers begin immediately the installation process is over because maintenance work follows in the line. Some of these things that the plumbers do are; replacing or mending the broken pipes, removing the worn out washers and unclogging the blocked pipes.
Apart from the physical or mechanical duties, plumbers keep records of the assigned duties and responsibilities that assist in coming up with a report. Complex jobs can be simplified by the plumbers who perform calculations that strategize on ways of doing the job easily. The installation period of the piping system can be controlled by estimating the work durations.
